Spring Vegetable Garden

All my hard work in the garden over the last few months is certainly paying off now – everything is growing well and I am starting to harvest some lettuce, snow peas, sugar snap peas, kale, silverbeet, potatoes and beetroot.  The first lot of tomatoes are in and growing well and I have just planted the next lot of seedlings – 38 tomato plants in all that will hopefully give us a truck load of tomatoes for preserving for the rest of the year.  I’m also growing brocoli, cauliflower, greenfeast peas, chilli’s, spaghetti squash, watermelon, cucumbers and celery, a big patch of strawberries and a small herb garden.  I’ve added in some lavender, nasturtiums and some other flowering plants f or pest control and to encourage insect pollination.
