When we bought the four Wiltipol X Dorper girls home earlier this year I made sure everyone knew that they were not pets, I needed them to be a little cautious of us so that Indi would be able to work them as part of his training to be a sheep dog.
We’ve raised bottle fed lambs before and they become very annoying sheep, so I made sure to tell everyone that there was going to be no hand feeding and no taming them to be pets.
Next time I will take my own advice 🙂 Now Dolly and Polly mug me whenever I go in their paddock. It does make for some cute photos though 🙂
