It never ceases to amaze me how quickly our beautiful lush green paddocks can turn from emerald green to golden brown once the rains stop in spring. We still have a tinge of green on the paddocks here and there, but it sure is fading fast.
Obviously a double edged sword as spring grass and all its sugar is not good for our horses who all hold their weight really well, even the three thoroughbreds are always at the higher end of what their ‘normal’ weight should be.
We’ve had a few setbacks recently, so back to basics and small jumps to hopefully work through things and start progressing again.
